Umanzuki è una giovane band toscana che suona jazz-core punk. La loro proposta può essere inserita in quel vivacissimo filone jazzcore tutto italiano, capitanato da bands come Zu, Neo, Squartet, Udus, Testa de porcu, Anatrofobia, ecc.
Pipes & sugar è il primo EP degli Umanzuki, esce nel 2011 in free mp3 download per fromscratch. E' stato prodotto da Giuseppe Caputo al fromscratch studio con la stessa tecnica già sperimentata per tanti altri progetti dell'etichetta: jam session registrata in presa diretta, cut up ed editing di arrangiamento dei brani. Il risultato sono 6 brani basati su riff granitici, con divagazioni dal sapore jazz (come in Naak middagete) o proto-blues (pipes & sugar).
Umanzuki is a young band from Tuscany, Italy, playing jazzcore punk. Their musical proposal is close to the italian jazz core scene, to bands such as Zu, Neo, Squartet, Udus, Testa de porcu, Anatrofobia, etc.
Pipes & sugar is the first Umanzuki's work, it's a free mp3 album out on fromscratch recs. It's been produced by Giuseppe Caputo with the same tecnique already experienced with other bands of the label: jam session recorded live, cut up and editing in post-production to arrange the songs. The result are those 6 tracks based on granitic riffs, with disgression into jazz ( Naak middagete) or proto-blues (pipes & sugar).
