Recorded, mixed and mastered at Locomotore Studio (Rome) in January 2011, by Lorenzo Stecconi ( Sound engineer and Guitarist of “Lento”, guest on two tracks “Live Slow” and “Aral see”), “Alpha to Omega” synthesizes the path taken by Karl Marx was a broker in these two years of activity.
The sound and style of the EP, maybe too much referential and skinny, becomes magnified, barbarized to create an LP where Stoner, Math Rock, Metal and Doom go to mix with Funk, creating an explosive mixture.
The sound research, in this album, is the Leitmotiv .
The product of this research are layers and layers of bass recorded with different combination of amplifiers and effects mixed with an aggressive and impressive drum, sounding deadly.
“Alpha to Omega”, then from A to Z, right to represent all that they had to say and that their efforts have made possible this record.
There are nine tracks, for a total duration of 40 minutes.
Track titles in part continue with the numbering of the EP ( Marx 3b – 2.1 – IX – 8 – 7 ), the other going to represent the facts and the people who are the part of everyday life ( Teletubbie, Live Slow, Destruction Derby, Aral See ).
Great importance was given to the graphics.
The concept of the artwork is centered on Cesare Lombroso, not as a fanatic of his thinking rather, but for the wonderful collections of photographs that the anthropologist collected alive.
Just two months after the end of the recording,”Alpha to Omega”, aroused the interest of the independent label “Escape from today” (based in Turin), for which the album will be released in September 2011 (number of catalog, EFT046).
